From Panama

Last Sunday we kicked off with the World Unity Week with a Day Event for young people in the community of Pacora, on the outskirts of the city of Panamá with about 500 youth participating. We started with choreographies, songs and the presentation of the Youth for a United World through experiences. There was a musical moment where every time the music changed a brief message of Chiara Lubich, Mother Theresa of Calcutta, Ghandi and others was presented: in order to transmit a strong message in an amusing way. Then we gave the word to the ‘star’ of this day: Chiara “Luce” Badano, who captured everyone’s attention when we presented her story through a video. To conclude we naturally presented the Genfest and our motto: ‘Let’s bridge.’ To close off in style Bishop Yovko (secretary of the Nunciature) celebrated the Holy Mass of the ‘Good Shepherd.’
